Description
Mode of Action –
1. It is a unique combination of Contact and systemic fungicide.
2. Its contact part is Zineb which is a broad-spectrum fungicide with protective
action.
3. It is fungi toxic when exposed to air and is converted to an isothiocyanate, which inactivates the sulphahydral (SH) groups in enzymes of fungi. Sometimes the metals are exchanged between Zineb and enzymes of fungi, thus causing a disturbance in fungal enzyme functioning.
4. It acts by blocking the metabolism of pathogenic fungus at the cellular level, at several stages of the Kreb Cycle.
5. Another partner in this combination is Hexaconazole which is a unique highly systemic triazole fungicide, acting as protective, curative, and eradicant wi strong antisporulant and translamin action.
6. It is a potent ergosterol biosynthesis inhibitor. Ergosterol, a principal sterol in most fungi is an indispensable component in the membrane structures

Time of Application –
1. For better disease management, it is always advisable to remember the maxim PREVENTION IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN CURE. Generally, the sprays of Avtar should start before the appearance of disease or at disease initiation.
2. Repeat the applications at 8-12 days intervals depending on climatic conditions and disease severity.
